Does your blood nurture EBC's?
[RG Dictionary] EBC's = Entrepreneurial Blood Cells. We, at RG, believe it’s only EBC's, which can nurture other EBC's and lead them by example.
Do you want to participate in building one of the coolest consumer Internet companies in India?
If this sounds like YOU (or someone you know well), we have the following life-time opportunities for you (or your acquaintance).

Immediate Openings

Not-so-immediate Openings

Head – Alliances/Sales

Are you the one who has tasted the joy of closing tens of partnerships?

And the frustration of failing a hundred times? :)

Alliances and sales, we believe, is the art of using each rejection to conquer our fear of getting rejected. As the layers of fear are driven away, what perhaps shines through – is an ability to withhold a product/service vision.

Add to this, strategic and negotiation skills honed through experience.

But, that may not be enough recipe for closing a deal. Deals are perhaps closed as much by hearts as by intellects. So, integrity is an integral ingredient. And did we forget good sense-of-humor?

Then, the leadership qualities needed to create and lead a great sales force.

Last but not the least, let’s stir the above with a ‘keeda’* to work in a Google-like innovative, agile, technology-driven, perpetual-start-up environment.

If this cooks up to be YOU (or you can smell this to be somebody you know well), it may help if you have (or he/she has) the following mortal qualifications:

§ Substantial experience in alliances/sales at leading consumer Internet companies (read: Google, Yahoo!, Indiatimes, Rediff, Sify, AOL India). The experience should justify your aspiration to lead pan-India alliances/sales operations at a promising consumer Internet start-up.

§ Experience in creating alliances/ sales-channels for GIS-enabled consumer products/services, will be an added advantage (read: Alliances/sales experience @ MapQuest, Google Maps, Yahoo! Maps, MapMyIndia, etc.)

§ Post-graduate Management degree majoring in Strategy or Sales or Marketing, from a premier institute (read: Harvard, Kellogs, Insead, IIMs, ISB, XLRI, SP Jain, NM).

§ Graduate degree from a premier institute.

[* Keeda: Hindi for... let me think... ‘extra-ordinarily insane drive’?]

Head – Engineering

§ Able to lead several functional teams like GUI design, usability, server-side engineering and QA. Must be implementation hungry.

§ Aiming to work in a highly agile work environment to build cool, hyper-usable products.

Some of these qualities usually come with experience. You need to have built and demonstrated these over years of quality experience, preferably on consumer-facing technology products.

Finally, Class ‘A’ education does help. And for this profile, that does not mean MITs/ IITs alone.

Again, some of these qualities come with experience. You need to have built and demonstrated these over years of quality experience, preferably on consumer-facing technology products.

Finally, Class ‘A’ education does help. (Read: Ph.D./MS/ M. Tech. in Computer Science/Engineering from premiere institutes like Stanford/ MIT/ Princeton/ IITs/ NITs/ BITS Pilani)
